Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Srinagar Arrival, Scenic Gulmarg & Meadow Exploration
Arrive at Sheikh ul-Alam International Airport (SXR), where your driver will welcome you for a scenic 1.5 to 2-hour drive to Gulmarg. Travel through the lush, pine-covered forests of Tangmarg, with an optional stop at the stunning Drung Waterfall. In the "Meadow of Flowers," ride the famous Gulmarg Gondola for breathtaking Himalayan panoramas, or visit St. Mary's Church and the historic Maharani Temple. Enjoy local snacks like Makai ki Roti at small dhabas, take an adventurous ATV ride across the rugged terrains, or relax by a local mountain stream. In the evening, transfer to the peaceful GS Residency Hotel in Kunzer for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.
Day 2: Gulmarg to Pahalgam Full-Day Expedition
Begin your day with an early 7:00 AM departure from Kunzer to maximize your time in the spectacular Lidder Valley. After a 119 km drive, arrive at the Pahalgam Tourist Taxi Stand and switch to a mandatory local Union Cab to explore the restricted "ABC" valleys: Aru Valley, Betaab Valley (the famous Bollywood filming location), and Chandanwari. In the afternoon, head back to the main market to take a pony ride up to the lush hilltop meadows of Baisaran (Mini Switzerland). By 5:00 PM, check into Srichan Resorts for a comfortable overnight stay by the river.
Day 3: Pahalgam to Srinagar City Exploration
Depart Pahalgam at 8:30 AM for a 2.5-hour drive back to the summer capital. Upon entering Srinagar, climb to the ancient Shankaracharya Temple for a 360-degree panoramic view of the city and Dal Lake.
